The Cafeteria was a three-day design sprint project hosted by Eunoia Design Jam, where we conducted UX research to tackle our client- UX was Here's problem space of high churn rate, low usage rate. Focusing on users' psychology and self-efficacy, we designed a cafeteria space for daily question discussion and relationship formation, a Q&A page for UX learners of all levels to share their knowledge, and a curated profile page to boost user engagement through self-presentation.UX was Here was founded by Matt Karakilic, a seasoned UX design leader and coach, to provide a platform for UX designers around the globe. It is a space designed to connect, empower, and inspire UX professionals.

How might we encourage an online community that strengthens users' self-efficacy, contributing to their increased psychological satisfaction on UX was Here?
Self-efficacy, the belief in one's abilities, can affect the choice individuals make in their behaviour. By motivating users’ psychological satisfaction through relationship formation, sharing knowledge, and self-presentation, we aim for increased contribution.

Solution One :
Relationship Formation
We designed a cafeteria space that fosters connections and enhances users' psychological satisfaction through group identification. Users can engage in live discussions and connect with others by participating in the 'Question of the Day,' encouraging meaningful interaction.

Solution Two :
Sharing Knowledge
Fostering users' self-efficacy and satisfaction by implementing a Q&A feature where users share their knowledge, bridging the gap between individual and professional knowledge and fuelling both personal and collective growth

Solution Three :
Self-Presentation
Encouraging self-presentation, achieved through a comprehensive onboarding experience guiding users to craft a tailored profile page, strengthening self-efficacy while fostering a sense of psychological satisfaction.
